Our Blog: See What We've Been Doing

Happy Memorial Day!

Our beautiful Spring weather with sunny skies has arrived, the flowers and trees are blooming, and baby birds are chirping!  What a great time of year!  I am really excited to be singing with Masterworks Chorale at our Collage Concert: Opposites Attract.  Love is in the air at this spring concert!  The songs will portray the ups and downs of love, the joyous and heartbreaking nature of romance, and the mystery of attraction that spans from Renaissance chansons to vocal jazz.  Colaborating with Toledo artists including the Ballet Theatre of Toledo,  the concert will be at the beautiful Valentine Theatre in Toledo, OH on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 8 p.m.

Wishing you a safe and happy Memorial Day!  Thank you to all of our military personnel for all they have given for our freedom.

Hope to see you at the Valentine!

Spring Performances

April showers (or snow showers!) bring May flowers!  I recently got back from a long weekend vacation of sunshine; was so great to spend time with my family!  Especially in the sun!

I am honored to be singing Tuesday, 04/24/2018 at Cabaret Night with Masterworks Chorale from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.!  It will be an evening of Delectable Diversions at Carranor Hunt and Polo Club in Perrysburg, OH with dinner at 7pm, entertainment and fundraising events thru-out the evening!

I am delighted to be singing with the Owens Community Band at The Center for Fine and Performing Arts at Owens Community College in Toledo, OH on Sunday, 04/29/2018 afternoon at 2:30 p.m.  This is the Concert Band Spring Concert with pieces from Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, marches, Italian music, a Dancing with the Stars feature, and more!

Hope to see you in the audience!

Happy Spring!

Such an wonderful time of year!  I am starting to hear the birds sing more and more, the flowers are starting to peek out of the ground, the trees are starting to bud, and the daylight hours are getting longer.  Speaking of light, I am excited to share my Masterworks Chorale Classics Concert with you; From Darkness into Light!  This concert on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 features compositions that express our hope for light.  One is an Easter cantata by Bach and another is John Rutter's Requiem.  The music in this concert brings us from the darkness of the tomb into the brightness of the resurrection; we are reminded of the brevity of life, and concludes with a calming prayer for hope and light eternally.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

It's been a busy holiday season already full of festivites, hustle and bustle.  With several gatherings yet to come, I am grateful for the love that surrounds me, my family, good food and laughter.  I am looking forward to spending time with family and friends over the next couple weeks to celebrate this joyous season.  It will be good to take some time and simply be present.

During this Christmas season, I am truly grateful to have had so many opportunities to sing!  Offering music that expresses joy, radiant love, starlight, the dark and light of the season has been extremely rewarding.  I am excited to share my Masterworks Chorale Christmas Concert with you!  This concert will be broadcast on the radio at WFTE FM 91.3 on Christmas Day at 2 p.m.  It will be shown on WGTE public television on Thursday, December 21, at 10 p.m., and on Christmas Day at 7:30 p.m.  I hope you enjoy!

Wishing you a Merry & Joyful Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Holidays are upon us!  I am looking forward to spending time with family; cooking, laughing and singing!  The next couple of weeks are packed with performances to celebrate the Holiday Season.  It begins when I sing in the chorus for The Ballet Theatre of Toledo's Nutcracker Friday Nov. 24 at The Valentine Theatre in Toledo.

On Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2:00 p.m., I will be singing in the Fall/Winter Concert for The Polish American Concert Band at Woodward High School in Toledo.

The following weekend, Saturday, 12/02 at 3:00 p.m., I will be performing at the Toledo Museum of Art with the Toledo Opera Chorus and Toledo Symphony Orchestra for Christmas at the Peristyle.

Later that same day, I'll be off to Epworth United Methodist Church in Toledo for an 8:00 p.m. concert with Masterworks Chorale, and a second concert on Sunday, 12/03 at 4:00 p.m.

My holiday performances wrap up “full circle” when I will once again sing in the chorus for the Nutcracker Ballet.  This time, it's put on by The Toledo Ballet, Saturday, 12/09 at 7:00 p.m. at the Stranahan Theater in Toledo.

I am grateful to celebrate this joyful time of year through voice and for the blessings of health, family, and friends!  Happy Thanksgiving!
